Day 2 was much clearer. Here is Shaun in Halong bay. There are a total of 1969 islands in Halong bay.
When I left my lovely class at Clutha Valley Primary School I was presented with 'Mini Shaun' with the challenge to get him photographed in as many countries around the world. So here it is ... Shaun's Big OE Adventures!

Halong Bay
We had 2 nights - 3 days on a boat in Halong bay. During that time we saw amazing caves, went kayaking and even sung some karaoke - which was lots of fun as the people on our boat all sung in different languages.
The first day on the boat was a bit drizzly and there was lots of fog. We didn't get the best view but we still had lots of fun taking photos on the top deck.
The water was very polluted! All sorts of rubbish and waste was floating around in the water. It wasn't very nice to look at and we definitely didn't want to swim in it! Made me appreciate how clean and green we are in New Zealand!
