Halong Bay

We had 2 nights - 3 days on a boat in Halong bay. During that time we saw amazing caves, went kayaking and even sung some karaoke - which was lots of fun as the people on our boat all sung in different languages.

The first day on the boat was a bit drizzly and there was lots of fog. We didn't get the best view but we still had lots of fun taking photos on the top deck.

The humongous caves that we got to walk through!!

View from the caves - shame about the fog!

Day 2 was much clearer. Here is Shaun in  Halong bay. There are a total of 1969 islands in Halong bay.

This is the boat that we slept on for 2 nights.

At night it was really beautiful with all the lights from the different boats!

Halong Bay was very beautiful but everywhere we went we saw lots of this ...
The water was very polluted! All sorts of rubbish and waste was floating around in the water. It wasn't very nice to look at and we definitely didn't want to swim in it! Made me appreciate how clean and green we are in New Zealand!
